(an extended haiku)
.
The treasure of one
Hundred thousand sunken ships
Quietly awaits
.
This weary trav’ler
In the dark abyss of your
Mysterious eyes.
.
Grant me its entrance,
Lay quiet those raging waves,
Let me dive headfirst
.
Into the blue deep -
Led by the vivid heartlight
of unselfish love.
.
Keep not this treasure
locked up deep within yourself,
share with me instead.
.
For I love you now,
But forever give my oath
To protect your worth.
.
I will not squander,
I will not steal in silence
While you are sleeping.
.
Nor will I grow tired,
My eyes blind to the brightness
Of such a treasure.
.
I will cherish you
And invest in your full love
‘Til gold shines no more.
