These corporations didn't get into organic farming because they care about you or the environment. They have been witness to double-digit percentage increases in the organic market, and these moves for acquisition and ownership are merely efforts to stay on the cash-cow. Their efforts are profit/money driven, unlike many of the smaller, local companies that started out in opposition to the practices of mega-corporations, which, ironically, later came to buy them out.

[EWG] also ha[s] a Produce Shopper's Guide, listing the dirty dozen of produce - that is, those types of produce that were tested and found to contain high levels of synthetic pesticides and other chemicals. The list also provides a list of 15 of the "cleanest" produce varieties, in a downloadable and printable business card format for ease in shopping. I call this the produce shopper's best friend. If you can't afford to buy all organic, or not all varieties are available at your local store, use this guide to help shop for the varieties that are "cleaner" for you and your family.

Fear is increasing in the world. There are a lot of things to be fearful of: cancer, the economy, war, terrorism - you name it. All of these are being manipulated, controlled and amplified to produce a global, mass reaction and a global frequency. The frequency of fear keeps us locked in the most basic, fundamental levels of survival and unable to understand deeper areas of ourselves, our psyches and the influences of this world, as well as our own creative source and the inextinguishable part of ourselves that exists quite apart from the perceptions we choose. Politics and world news are full of things to be fearful of, and those things that cause the most fear generate the reaction those in power want. According to the Hegelian dialectic of problem-reaction-solution, they manipulate events to create a problem, which generates fear and a need from the public for a solution. So they step forward with the solution they had in mind all along and the fearful masses are willing to accept the solution to get rid of the fear.

America is in some trouble, and headed for deeper water fast. People write me and ask me what we can do to stop the tide from pulling us out above our heads. There are no easy or quick fixes to the problem America faces, but one thing I am certain of:

we will not return to what made America great unless we return to the liberty-centered mindset of our founding fathers.
